Contributions
Dinky Fans welcomes articles on Dinky Toys, pictures of your Dinky models for inclusion in the Gallery and scans of your Dinky catalogs for the Catalogs section. Because Dinky Fans is a volunteer effort, no compensation can be provided for submissions. Authors and image sources retain the copyright to their work. Please email your contributions to editor [at] dinkyfans [dot] com.
Articles
Articles should be submitted as plain text files or Microsoft Word documents and should contain references to included images, along with their captions. Images should ideally be at least 1200 pixels wide and have a resolution of 72 dpi. Images not photographed by the author should be credited to their source.
Please read one of the articles to get an idea of the recommended style.
Gallery
Close up images of models you own that you’d like to share to the Gallery should be at least 1200 pixels wide, well lit with minimal shadows, and should show the front, top and left side of the model. A secondary image showing the model’s rear, right side and top may be submitted along with the primary image. Images should be in JPG or PNG format and their filenames should include the model number.
Please see one of the models in the Gallery to get an idea of a model’s recommended view.
Catalogs
Catalog pages should be scanned at 300 dpi or higher on a flatbed scanner and saved in JPG or PNG format. Each image should preferably be of a single page of the catalog.
